I haven’t been drawing much lately, been so busy it seems… but here I am again. This little watercolor is for Illustration Friday’s word “Impossibility”. I would love to be up in that hut… alone for a little while… but it seems like an impossibility….

I painted this pink princess chair for my friend Lynn’s granddaughter Haley’s 5th birthday. This is how I was paid:
A dozen brownies
A princess cake
And a steak dinner.
Total deal. I never knew painting was so fattening and delicious 
A very literal Illustration Friday drawing from me this week. A sweet, sugary cupcake. Pastel pencils.
I have my suitcase packed and I’m ready to leave behind the places and feelings of the past…. I’ve visited the town of “guilt”, the river of “deceit” and black cloud city. The past is packed up and I’m burning out of town.
This is dedicated to my good friend Lisa We have used the idea of packing our worries away in a briefcase or suitcase and hanging it out the car window, and it catching on fire since we were teenagers. Just say goodbye to those black clouds and head on down the highway.
